Measurement

Intermediate

Measurement tells us exactly how long, how heavy, how hot, or how much something is โ€” using standard units that everyone agrees on.

Common units you'll use:

  • โ€ขLength & height โ€” centimetres (cm), metres (m), kilometres (km)
  • โ€ขWeight โ€” grams (g), kilograms (kg)
  • โ€ขVolume โ€” millilitres (mL), litres (L)
  • โ€ขTemperature โ€” degrees Celsius (ยฐC)

๐Ÿ“ Example:A pencil is about 15 cm long. A bottle of water holds about 500 mL. Water freezes at 0ยฐC and boils at 100ยฐC!

๐Ÿ’ก Tip:Small units (like cm or g) are for small things. Bigger units (like m, km, or kg) are for bigger things โ€” 100 cm makes 1 m, and 1000 g makes 1 kg!
